Now, if we talk about this film, then honestly, I want to say that after watching a very promising thriller, and during the director’s interview, during the promotional interviews, the confidence I saw after listening to what he said, personally, I was very excited about this film.
Film Story
I went to watch this film with very good expectations. But after watching the film, I honestly want to say that the film is not able to match the expectations even by 20%. It becomes a very strictly above-average, one-time watchable film, which you can watch once without any expectations. Because there are some positives in the film. And overall, if we look at it, the film is successful in engaging decently. If you look at the film, the scope of the film was good as per a commercial action thriller.
However, the director fails to execute things in many places. But if I talk about the things that work in the interest of the film, if I talk about them, then the biggest highlight or the biggest positive point of the film is that of Nawazuddin Siddiqui. If there is any entertainment in the film that will provide you with some fun or entertainment during the film, then it is his character.
By mixing Hindi with broken Telugu, his way of talking was very interesting. Although he doesn’t present him as a dangerous villain, but definitely, presents him as a funny villain. He presents him as a villain who is successful in making people laugh during the film.
Facts and Details
If we look at the first half of the film, it is also engaging decently. Venkatesh, Radha, Srinath, and that girl, the relation and emotion between the three of them can be seen working in the first half. In the first half, there is a fight sequence of Venkatesh in a scrap ad, which again, I would say, was very good.
After that, though the trailer showed that the real issue here is the injection of 17 crores. So by the time the movie reaches there, there will be a good movie to watch. We get a hope that everything was fine till here, now there is going to be a blast in the second half. But the sad thing is that the second half of the film seems to be weaker than the first half. Where, according to an action thriller, the thriller portion of the film starts in the second half, but that thrill is not seen anywhere.
Because in the first half itself, the way his character is arranged. And the way other characters fear him. We don’t think this task is going to be difficult for Venkatesh. So what should have been a question mark whether this person will be able to fulfill it or not, is not created here. Much effort has been made to complicate matters later.
Discuss The Plot, Tone, and Characters
So that’s why you can say that the film proves to be engaging decently, but the thrill that should have been there is completely missing. In the second half of the film, there is a dialogue of Nawazuddin, where he says that everyone is busy giving elevation to the hero. But the funniest thing is that the elevation is not felt properly anywhere in the film.
If I talk about the climax, there is only one part where the emotion is heightened. According to Venkatesh, Shraddha Srinath is sitting in the car. High moments have been placed in many places.
But none of them seem to work. The biggest reason behind this is the weak staging. The scenes in many places have not been staged in that way. And the second biggest factor that weakens the film in many places, is the background music of this film.
Analysis
Honestly, I could not even imagine that Santosh Narayan would give such background music. I don’t know how many years have passed, but there has been a piece of music in his film that has been proven to be so weak. In the film, the background music does not elevate any scene. On the contrary, in some places, you get to hear such a score, which makes you feel very generic. And I was not expecting this from Santosh Narayan. I was not expecting this from Santosh Narayan.
To be honest, Santosh Narayan has disappointed me many times more than the film. I don’t know what happened. I don’t know. The soul that he always manages to give in his films, he has failed to give it here. I mean, in the climax, the emotions that should have come, the anger, and the sadness, all blend. The way it should have come out through the music, it is not able to come out.
Even the elevations, and the stylized scenes that have been designed, the music is not able to support those scenes. During some action scenes, the camera work is also very solid. The director has introduced a fictional city to us in the film. But that city also does not provide anything new. Nor has it been developed in the overall film in a very brilliant way.
Film Summary
In some places, you will get to see the number plates according to the city. The disease that Venkatesh’s daughter is suffering from, many other children are suffering from the same disease. So those numbers are seen in the city. So there are some such things. But overall, that city also does not leave any special impact after the film is over. Venkatesh’s performance in the film is solid.
His work in the action mass after is worth watching. But according to me, his performance, and his hard work, deserved a better script and a better direction here. So overall, whatever expectations you have from the trailer, with minimal expectations. After completing them, if you sit down to watch the movie. So it’s an above-average, one-time watch, politely charming film.
And if you only want to watch it for the character of Nawazuddin, then I would say that you will have to watch the Telugu version only. Because when I saw the Hindi version of the trailer, Nawazuddin’s dialogues were only in Hindi. So in that, the mixture of Telugu and Hindi will not be seen.
