Today we will talk about the recently released Vishwak Saint-starred Telugu film i.e. Gangs of Godavari. So, after releasing it in theatres, recently this film was released in the Telugu language only on Netflix. But today, i.e. on 5th July, this film has been released in the Hindi language on Jio Cinema. Talking about this film, I have seen the Telugu version of the film. And after watching the film, if I put my personal opinion in front of you, then for me, this film proves to be decent.
Film Story
No doubt, I found the story of the film to be very good and interesting. On the other hand, the work of Vishwak Sain in this film is commendable. We can say that in this film, a person is trying to save the film through his performance. But still, we have to praise his work and the effort he has put in. The way he has played the character so well, it was really interesting to watch. The character’s motive, actions, decisions, and story can be heard and seen from many places.
But one thing that I liked is that the character does not lose his focus. If you look at the character’s motive and the backstory behind it, then we get to see its connection in every main event of the film. And if we look at the character’s journey, then no doubt this film proves to be a decent, watchable film. But if you look at it as an overall film, then you can say that the screenplay with a good story was very weak.
In the first half, the film seems to be running, due to which the bonding and relation with the other characters around Vishwak Sen is not properly set. There is no space for any dramatic scene or moment to connect with us. Many scenes seem to be very forceful in the film, while many scenes seem to be very silly. In the first half, the film seems to be running very fast, but in the second half, it seems like the film is not ending.
Facts and Details
Later, when I checked the runtime, I found out that the film was only 2 hours and 13 minutes long. And believe me, this film is 2 hours and 13 minutes long, but after reaching a certain point, it feels like 3 hours. And like I said, the focus on the character was good.
And Vishwak Sen has played that role very well. But the other characters we see in the story with whom Vishwak Sen has some conflicts because we cannot call anyone a hero or a villain here. So, the conflict of the character with the people around him does not look very good.
At the same time, those characters are also not written in such an interesting way. Another negative point of the film is its background music. There were many moments in the film where a good background music could have elevated those scenes and moments, and could have given a good life to the film.
Discuss The Plot, Tone, and Characters
Especially if we talk about the interlude fight sequence, there were some such scenes. But the background music doesn’t go anywhere. So, if I say overall, the film Gangs of Godavari is just an average to above-average film. I will not say that you should watch it for a time-pass or a one-time watch, because the film drags, so it is not necessary to have a time pass.
But if you want to see Vishwak Sen’s performance, or if you are watching it, then start it. If you like the film for 30-40 minutes, then continue it, otherwise leave it. Even if you complete it and finish it, it will not feel like a lot of time has been wasted. So, this was my overall opinion about this film.
How It Rises and How It Falls is a must-watch movie that is already on Netflix and Jio Cinema. Its duration on Netflix is 2 hours 13 minutes while in Hindi Dub it is 2 hours 2 hours on Jio.
Analysis
To review Gangs of Godavari in one line, I would say that this movie is an average movie. The movie had a good start which promised to be a great movie but after that, the movie fell flat. Gai became a routine type of film. The way the film progresses the film becomes flat and you get to see a routine type of film basically, if you have seen Nani’s Dasara Pushpa you get a gangster type of revenge politics guy.
You will get to see the rise and fall of which you will get to see. Look at all the tried and tested stuff that people are throwing at you in the name of something different in the name of something different I can’t say because seriously there was nothing like that
The beginning was good but after that, you will see complete flatness and this flatness will last till the end. What was the job? He is a very good actor. They did below average you won’t enjoy watching anything and you think they are just acting.
Film Summary
Well, some scenes are interesting. But the screenplay type of things is not so interesting that wow we see something. What we haven’t seen before is that Gangs of Godavari is average for me overall. This is the case. I would give the movie 5 out of 10 if we talk about Kuru Patil’s guidelines, there was some nudity.
In the movie, you won’t see that the Hindi dubbing is good but again it looks like a little don they used a language I didn’t like they should have used something different it was too old But I had a review.
